This week we examine the second return of the Jewish exiles from the captivity of Babylonia. A trip most notable in the details of preparation, travel, and arrival that are recorded. Notable because of the great faith exhibited by this people taking great risk. It was a perilous journey, with many dangers, but under the leadership of Ezra, we see a people trusting in God, and thoroughly committed to his worship.
Listen as we uncover in the story of the second return, a great example for our own faith. As those in Christ, tasked to walk a way fraught with dangers, the reliance, trust, and devotion of this people may be immensely instructive.
