Apostacy is a difficult reality that comes to us from the Word of God. A reality that there will be those who claim to follow Christ, but who have never truly known him at all. Those who may have got along in the church for some time, perhaps even been received as genuine, but were harboring deep sin; sin which would eventually lead to their entire departure form the faith.
