The Bible is the the authoritative Word of God. It is the basis of truth, contains the glorious message of the gospel, and is a light for the church in a dark world. Its value can not be overstated; we are therefore blessed beyond compare. But do realize this? Do we respond accordingly? Statistics show that literacy in the Scripture has reached an all time low. People are ignorant to its significance, and worse still, the church's knowledge is elementary.
Listen as we examine Jesus' inditement of the Sadducees' for this very error, an instructive case in offering a solution to the problem. Here we will be warned of the great travesty of Bible ignorance, but encouraged to lay hold of the Word once more.
