Today we examine the curse of our Lord upon the dead state of Israel's worship. Christ finds a fruitless faith, as evidenced by the corruption he drives out of the temple, and as a result, condemns the temple to prosper no more.
There are deep undertones for the church here, if we are willing to listen. Powerful principles regarding the seriousness of our worship and devotion to prayer. For the sake of Christ's name, we must be committed to his truth, and genuine in heart should we seek to escape a similar pronouncement.
