This week we consider a special spiritual lesson in Nehemiah's inspection of Jerusalem's walls, and consequent command to build. We consider our call to be wise as to sin's presence, and diligent in pursuit of holiness. There are still ruins, there is still desolation. This side of glory we are ever in that process of sanctification; by the grace of God being transformed to look more like his Son. But that building of God's spiritual house will not come without those pains of seeing the ruin, and beginning the repair.
